Born through the coming together of Egerton Street Baptist Church and The Father’s Love House, Oasislife Church carries forward more than a century of Christian ministry while embracing a new season of renewal, growth, and hope.
The Story of Oasislife Church
Oasislife Church was born in 2026 through the coming together of two congregations: Egerton Street Baptist Church and The Father’s Love House.
Egerton Street Baptist Church has faithfully served the London, Ontario community since September 1904, carrying a rich legacy of over a century of Christian ministry.
In 2024, my family and I sensed the clear leading of the Lord to relocate from Nova Scotia to London, Ontario—a city where we had no relatives or friends. We come simply in obedience to God’s call, trusting Him to direct our steps.
As I searched for a place to begin a new fellowship, now known as The Father’s Love House, God providentially opened the doors of Egerton Street Baptist Church. The congregation warmly welcomed us and graciously allowed us to hold our fellowship immediately following their Sunday worship service.
What began as a simple act of hospitality soon unfolded into something far greater.
The interim pastor at the time, Rev. Stephen Jones, invited me to preach to the congregation. That invitation was followed by another, and then another. As God continued to work among us, it became increasingly evident that He was bringing our two congregations together for a greater purpose.
Early in 2025, the leadership of Egerton Street Baptist Church approached me about becoming their pastor. By then, however, The Father’s Love House had already been established and legally registered.
Rather than making a quick decision, we committed the matter to prayer, sought wise counsel, and carefully considered the path God was setting before us.
Through that process, we became convinced that the Lord was calling us to unite the two congregations into one church family.
At the time I accepted the pastoral role, Egerton Street Baptist Church had experienced years of significant decline. By God’s grace, and through the ministry of The Father’s Love House, the congregation began to experience renewed life, growth, and hope.
As the two congregations increasingly worshipped together, a new question emerged: How could one church family continue under two different names? Once again, we sought the Lord through prayer and consulted both members within the church and trusted Christian leaders outside the church.

This passage perfectly reflected both our journey and our future. God was doing something new—bringing new life where there had been decline, providing hope where there had been uncertainty, and creating an oasis in what had once seemed like a spiritual wilderness.
With this conviction, the word “Oasis” became the foundation for our new identity. Members were invited to prayerfully suggest names built around that theme. Five names were submitted, and after a period of prayer and congregational discernment, a vote was held.
The name Oasislife Church was prayerfully chosen.
Oasislife Today
Today, Oasislife Church stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness. It honours the historic legacy of Egerton Street Baptist Church while embracing the vision and mission of The Father’s Love House. More than a new name, Oasislife Church represents God’s promise to bring renewal, restoration, and abundant life to all who come seeking Him—a place of refuge, love, hope, and life in Christ.

Oasislife Church is led by Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Bibilari. Together, they serve the Upstream Church family with a commitment to sharing God’s Word, nurturing spiritual growth, strengthening families, and helping people experience the transforming love of Christ.
